Have questions first? Let's talk

Most people who come to TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) training don't arrive with a professional goal first. They arrive because something in their own body brought them here — stress they've been carrying, a past traumatic experience, tension that won't let go, a feeling that their nervous system has been running on high for a long time. Module 1 is where that personal experience meets something larger. That's why Module 1 is also a general public workshop as well as part of the certification program. Whether you're here for your own wellbeing or to certify so you can add TRE to your professional practice, this is where it starts. And you don't have to decide which yet.
Module 1 is the foundation. Over 12 hours of live online training, you'll learn the TRE exercises in your own body first — because this practice begins with your own experience, not with a textbook.
From there, you'll explore how stress and trauma affect the nervous system at a physiological level, why the body responds the way it does, and how TRE's neurogenic tremoring mechanism supports the body's natural capacity for self-regulation. You'll develop a personal TRE practice that you can sustain on your own, and you'll begin building the understanding that informs everything that comes after — whether that's continued personal practice or the path toward certification.
Lynea guides the entire training. She'll help you understand what your body is doing and why, at a pace that respects where you are.
Global TRE Trainer Lynea Gillen brings 50 years of somatic experience and 15 years of dedicated TRE practice to Module 1. Her background as a Licensed Professional Counselor gives her training a depth that practitioners across every discipline recognize — she teaches you how to hold space when something unexpected comes up in the tremoring process, and how to navigate the moments that require more than the exercises alone.
This isn't a large-format lecture. In a small group, Lynea knows your name, your background, and your experience. She adapts her teaching to the room, and she's there for the questions that come after the session ends. Though registrants often join her from around the world, the training is designed for the English-speaking general public.

Completing my TRE certification program with Lynea was transformative. While TRE is an incredibly powerful modality on its own, what makes the training so effective is the embodied safety, trust and connection that Lynea brings so naturally and effortlessly to the work. Lynea's background as a counselor and passion for working with children makes her a master co-regulator, which is an essential ingredient for effective trauma resolution.

Module 1 is taught live online via Zoom. In 2020, Lynea worked with TRE for All (TFA) and Dr. David Berceli to develop TRE's online certification model. In response to Covid, this development reduced the costs of training, expanded the dissemination of TRE worldwide, and enrichened Lynea's trainings with participants attending from around the world.
Now, you learn in the privacy of your own space, with a live connection to Lynea and your cohort. No recordings. No self-paced modules. Real people, in real time.
